Administrative Assistant - Accounting & Wealth Management

Location: West Hartford

Marcum LLP is seeking a full-time administrative assistant with strong organizational skills for the Accounting and Wealth Management groups in the West Hartford, CT office. This position requires a high-energy professional with strong interpersonal and multi-tasking skills.

Responsibilities

  • Work as an administrative liaison to the established Accounting and Wealth Management groups by assisting all Partners and professionals in the West Hartford office with their business and administrative needs as it relates to clients and to the operations of the business practices.
  • Wealth Management administrative responsibilities are to collaborate and work on various projects to include, agenda preparation and meeting setups with clients, setup of money link transfers, preparation and review of client billing, maintaining marketing materials, preparation of packages for prospective clients, providing information to coordinate opening of accounts, delivery of client checks for deposit, review of investment alerts, execute trades under direction of advisor, running and preparation of various reports for performance reviews, and client meetings, handle client requests for transfers of cash, working with marketing team on review and update to website information, and coordination of e-blasts as necessary.
  • Accounting administrative responsibilities are to assist with typing of correspondence and statistical information (including Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations), assembly of corporate and personal tax returns for delivery to clients, typing of financial statements as prepared by professional staff, preparation of client billings, and assisting with coordination of meeting needs for internal training sessions.
  • Provide front desk coverage support, assist with coordination of courier services and processing of incoming and outgoing mail.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Microsoft products.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a high level of professionalism.
  • Experience working in an office environment, preferably in Professional Services.
  • Strong organizational and problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate a quality work product in a timely manner with strong attention to detail.
  • High school diploma, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Must be able to travel independently.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time during the day.
