Marcum LLP, a top national accounting and advisory firm, led the entire accounting industry in most new Securities and Exchange Commission audit clients in the fourth quarter of 2012, according to an article published by Accounting Today. The article was based upon research reported by Audit Analytics, a company that analyzes changes in auditors of Public Companies. With six net SEC client wins, Marcum outpaced the growth of all other accounting firms including the Big Four and doubled the results of the second-ranked firm for the quarter.
The Audit Analytics ranking was reported February 12 on AccountingToday.com.
"Our accomplishment for the quarter exemplifies the growth of Marcum's SEC practice and our commitment to delivering superior services to our clients," said David C. Bukzin, Partner-In-Charge of the Firm's SEC Practice Group. "Our depth and specialization in the industry, as reflected in our top ranking, is also the basis for the creation of the Marcum MicroCap Conference, which debuted last year with more than 60 publicly traded companies presenting and an attendance that exceeded 800 people."
The second annual Marcum MicroCap Conference will take place on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at the Grand Hyatt New York. More information is available at www.marcumllp.com/microcap.
