Marcum Workplace Challenge, annual 3.5 mile run/walk fundraiser, to benefit three Long Island charities
Melville, New York – March 29, 2011 – Marcum LLP, one of the largest independent public accounting and advisory services firms in the nation and the largest accounting firm on Long Island, once again, announced its title sponsorship for the annual Marcum Workplace Challenge to take place on Tuesday, July 26 at Jones Beach State Park, Zach’s Bay. This is the sixth consecutive year that Marcum will sponsor the annual fundraiser that benefits Long Island charities.

Launched in 2005, the annual 3.5-mile run/walk is Long Island's largest participatory fundraising sporting event and company office picnic. The Marcum Workplace Challenge attracts thousands of participants from more than 200 companies, non-profit organizations, schools and governmental agencies, and their families and friends. Since its inception, the Marcum Workplace Challenge has raised nearly $150,000 for Long Island charities. This year’s beneficiaries include The Long Island Children’s Museum, the Children’s Fund and Long Island Cares, Inc. - The Harry Chapin Food Bank.
