20th Annual Marcum Governmental Symposium to Update South Florida Government Finance Professionals on New GASB Pronouncements
Special Session on GASB 67 and 68
New York City, NY – Over 200 South Florida government finance officials will attend the 20th annual Marcum Governmental Symposium next Wednesday, October 29, at the Signature Grand in Davie. Presented by the Governmental Services Practice group of Marcum LLP, a top national accounting and advisory services firm, the symposium will include a full day of technical education and training to bring government finance professionals up to date on new accounting and reporting requirements.
Technical presentations will cover new Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) pronouncements, which are governmental Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). The CPE-accredited seminar will be conducted by Paul Glick, a specialist in governmental financial accounting and reporting. A special Q&A session on GASB 67 and 68 standards on accounting and financial reporting for government pension plans will be presented by Michael Futterman, Practice Leader for Marcum’s Florida Governmental Services Practice, and James Rizzo, senior actuary and consultant.
