Merger and acquisition (“M&A”) activity has become very prevalent throughout the community banking industry. Acquiring institutions need to be cognizant of the potential IT difficulties of integrating systems in order to ensure a smooth transition. Planning is of extreme importance as surprises during the integration process can make things difficult.
