Carolyn Mazzenga of Marcum LLP Receives 2017 Executive Circle Award
New York City, NY – Carolyn Mazzenga, partner-in-charge of Marcum LLP’s Long Island region, was honored yesterday with an Executive Circle Award from Long Island Business News. Marcum is a top national accounting and advisory firm with offices throughout the U.S., as well as Grand Cayman, China and Ireland.
Ms. Mazzenga was recognized for her leadership in helping grow Marcum into the largest accounting firm on Long Island and for her vision in spearheading Marcum’s first Women’s Leadership Development program, which has since evolved into a Firm-wide diversity initiative at all Marcum offices across the country. An industry leader who has been recognized as one of the Most Powerful Women in Accounting, Ms. Mazzenga co-chairs the annual Marcum Women’s Forum in New York City as well as the annual Marcum Workplace Challenge, Long Island’s largest walk-run for charity, which has raised more than $700,000 for community non-profit organizations since 2006.
In addition to her regional leadership role at Marcum, Ms. Mazzenga is also national partner-in-charge of the Firm’s Family Wealth Services Practice group, where she assists clients in wealth preservation and succession planning, with a special focus on business owners. An active member of the Long Island business community, Ms. Mazzenga serves on the boards of the Long Island Association and Long Island Cares: the Harry Chapin Food Bank.
