[M]any conversations in the United States remain fixated on trade wars and tariffs, including in the U.S. construction industry, which stands to be impacted by higher input costs and potentially slower economic growth… [T]he issues facing the two most powerful nations in the world are complex, with Chinese policymakers deeply resentful of any threat to national sovereignty and key U.S. policymakers fixated on the massive trade deficit and issues pertaining to intellectual property. In short, the threat to contractors remains real and consequential.
