Marcum CPA Awarded 2010 Best Accountant for Growing Businesses
Robert M. Pesce, CPA and partner-in-charge of the Accounting Services group at Marcum LLP, has been awarded the 2010 Best Accountant for Growing Businesses in the Entertainment and Media category by The New York Enterprise Report. Pesce provides a variety of accounting, business management, consulting and tax planning services for clients in the entertainment industry as well as professional services firms.

The New York Enterprise Report announced winners for their inaugural event, The Best Accountants and Attorneys for Growing Businesses, at the Trump Soho on June 29, 2010. This special program recognizes and celebrates tri-state attorneys and advisors who “go above and beyond the call of duty” in helping their clients succeed.

Pesce began his professional career in 1996 when he joined the firm. His ability for successfully working with musicians, actors, authors and agencies led to his instrumental role in the founding of the Firm’s Technology, Internet, Media and Entertainment group.
Pesce is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, where he chairs the Nassau County Chapter’s Cooperation with Education Committee. He has spoken before industry groups on various tax topics and published numerous articles.
Pesce is very involved within the New York City community and volunteers his time and serves on committees for cultural and community-minded not-for-profit organizations including the Association of Authors’ Representatives and The Authors Guild.
Pesce earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the State University of New York.
