Marcum LLP Announces 2nd Annual Marcum MicroCap Conference

New York City, NY – Marcum LLP, a top national accounting and advisory firm, today announced that the award-winning Annual Marcum MicroCap Conference will take place on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in New York City. Nearly 100 publicly traded companies with capitalization of under $500 million are expected to present this year. The conference keynote will be delivered by Steven Rattner, popularly known as the Obama Administration’s “Car Czar” because of his role leading the restructuring of the auto industry in 2009 as Counselor to the Secretary of the Treasury. Mr. Rattner is Chairman of Willett Advisors LLC, the investment arm for New York Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg’s personal and philanthropic assets.

The Marcum MicroCap Conference is dedicated to introducing investors to the very best, undiscovered public companies under $500 million in market capitalization. The event is presented by Marcum’s SEC Services Practice Group to address the lingering effects of the financial crisis, which continue to stifle opportunities for microcap companies to build awareness of their companies and raise growth capital.

The 2nd Annual Marcum MicroCap Conference is expected to draw more than 1,000 attendees including senior executives from presenting companies, leading institutional investors, buy and sell-side analysts, investment bankers and service providers to the microcap marketplace. The Marcum MicroCap Conference debuted in 2012 with more than 60 publicly traded companies presenting and an attendance of over 800. The success of the inaugural event earned Marcum the 2012 Innovative Firm Initiative of the Year Award from the Leading Edge Alliance.
