Marcum LLP Appoints Julie Gross Gelfand as First Director of Public Relations & Communications
New York, NY – Marcum LLP, a national accounting and advisory firm, has appointed Julie Gross Gelfand, APR, as its first Director of Public Relations & Communications. In this newly created position, Ms. Gross Gelfand will play an integral role on the firm’s senior marketing team, with responsibility for public relations programs to elevate the firm’s brand awareness nationally and in regional markets where the firm has completed mergers and acquisitions.
Previously, Ms. Gross Gelfand was Executive Vice President & Director of Public Relations at agency Harrison Leifer DiMarco, where her clients included banks, risk managers, accounting firms, insurance companies and others. Her prior experience includes the Banking & Financial Services Division of Hill & Knowlton and the Commodity Exchange on Wall Street. Ms. Gross Gelfand also served as U.S. Public Relations Director for PLAN International, a global humanitarian organization.
