Marcum LLP Appoints Nancy Lieberman as Deputy General Counsel
New York City, NY – Marcum LLP, a top national accounting and advisory firm, has appointed Nancy D. Lieberman as Deputy General Counsel. Based in Marcum’s Melville, New York office, Ms. Lieberman will use her expertise in mergers and acquisitions to assist the Firm in connection with its continued growth, both regionally and nationally. She will also help advise the Firm’s Management Committee on governance matters and provide counsel on other legal and administrative issues.
Previously, Ms. Lieberman was a partner in the Corporate and Banking Department of law firm Farrell Fritz, where she counseled large and small businesses, both private and publicly traded, as well as private investors on a full range of matters. She has practiced corporate and securities law for over 20 years.
Ms. Lieberman received her Juris Doctor degree from New York University School of Law, where she was an editor on the Journal of International Law and Politics. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Hofstra University.
Ms. Lieberman has an AV Preeminent Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Rating, awarded for the highest level of professional excellence, and is listed in the 2011 and 2012 Martindale-Hubbell Bar Register of Preeminent Women Lawyers. She is a member of the Long Island Regional Board of the American Heart Association and the Board of Trustees of Temple Sinai of Roslyn.
A resident of Roslyn, Ms. Lieberman is admitted to practice law in New York State.
