>A New Haven company that develops software to help banks and credit unions comply with regulations that govern the industry was crowned as the top tech company in Connecticut during ceremonies Thursday night at the Oakdale Theater.
The selection of Continuity as the overall winner of the Marcum Tech Top 40 was based upon the Elm Street company’s revenue growth of 1,142 percent since 2011. The Tech Top 40, now in its eighth year, is a joint effort between the Connecticut Technology Council and Marcum LLP, a large New York City-based firm with whose 23 accounting and advisory services in the United States and abroad include a New Haven location.
The awards are for technology companies with at least $3 million in annual revenue and a four-year record of growth, in six industry sectors. Both privately held and publicly traded companies are eligible.
“Each year, at the Marcum Tech Top 40 event we are reminded that technology companies are thriving in Connecticut,” said Bruce Carlson, president and chief executive officer of the Technology Council, which is headquartered in East Hartford. “We need to support these companies and the others that are in the growth pipeline in order for Connecticut to achieve the job creation and economic growth we are all striving for.”
