The 2.2-mile bandana chain – equivalent in length to the height of the two World Trade Center towers – was created to honor 9/11 hero Welles Crowther, who sacrificed his own safety to rescue more than a dozen people and who was memorialized in the documentary “Man in Red Bandana.” The two Marcum professionals witnessed and certified that the new record was broken in accordance with Guinness procedures.
