The name change represents the final step in a transition that began in October 2010, when California-based Stonefield Josephson, Inc. joined forces with New-York based Marcum LLP, one of the largest independent accounting and advisory services firms in the nation.The merger marked Marcum’s expansion to the West Coast and a critical step in the firm’s aggressive growth strategy in major markets throughout the nation.
