Husband and wife tax and accounting specialists Michael F. D’Addio and Gail J. D’Addio have joined accounting-advisor Marcum LLP.
Michael, a tax attorney, joins as a principal; Gail, a CPA, as a director — both in Marcum’s New Haven office.
Michael has more than 35 years as a specialist in state and federal tax compliance and planning, and has extensive experience representing clients before the Internal Revenue Service, U.S. Tax Court, and other state and regulatory agencies. He is a frequent lecturer on a range of federal and state tax issues before client and business groups.
He holds an undergraduate degree in political science from Yale and earned his law degree from UConn Law School. He is a member of the state bar and is admitted to practice before the U.S. Tax Court.
Gail has more than 30 years of experience as an accounting and business advisor to closely-held businesses, with a specialty in consolidated and multistate tax returns.
She has worked extensively with Subchapter C and S corporations, general and limited partnerships, limited liability companies, individuals, not-for-profit organizations, and trusts and estates.
She received her bachelor’s from the University of Bridgeport and her masters in taxation from the University of New Haven.
Gail is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants, the American Women’s Society of Certified Public Accountants and the National Association of Certified Valuators and the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts.
