Nancy Lieberman, Deputy General Counsel, Featured in Long Island Business News Article "Let's Make A Deal"
By Bernadette Starzee
Can a longtime M&A attorney find happiness far from the hustle and bustle of the deal? As in, um, accounting?
Nancy Lieberman, a veteran corporate counselor at law firms in New York City and Long Island, is putting the theory to the test as the new deputy general counsel at Marcum, the region's largest, and ever growing, accounting services firm.
Suggesting she probably won't be too far from the deal after all.
"Anyone who has been on the Island for a while knows that Marcum went from being a regional firm to a national one, and the firm plans to continue its expansion," said Lieberman, who is based in Marcum's Melville office. "I have been an M&A lawyer for a long time, and will be able to use my expertise to help Marcum with its future expansion plans."
Additionally, she will advise the firm's management committee on governance matters and other legal and administrative issues.
