New York-based Marcum LLP (FY13 net revenue of $350.2 million) has admitted Philip Wilson as PIC of the California region.In this newly created role, Wilson is responsible for overseeing all client services and business operations in Marcum’s California offices and for the firm’s business development and regional expansion statewide.He additionally continues as national practice leader of the firm’s tax controversy group.
Marcum currently has offices in San Francisco, Los Angeles and Irvine, Calif.Wilson is based in Irvine and previously served as PIC of the Southern California region.He joined Marcum in July 2013 following the merger of WilsonMorgan LLC into the firm.
Wilson has more than 25 years of CPA and business advisory experience including service as an IRS Revenue Agent. He focuses on developing and implementing tax controversy resolution strategies for individual and commercial clients.As a founding partner at WilsonMorgan, he oversaw all of the firm’s tax compliance, tax consulting and tax controversy engagements.
