William Scally Joins Marcum LLP as Partner-in-Charge of Litigation Services in Boston
New York City, NY – William Scally, CFA, has joined Marcum LLP, a national accounting and advisory firm, as partner-in-charge of Litigation Services in the Firm’s Boston office.
As a valuation specialist, Mr. Scally provides financial, economic, and statistical services, with a focus on equity and debt valuation, business enterprise valuation, business model due diligence, and contract compliance. He has significant experience applying valuation principles to assist companies pursuing strategic initiatives and to analyze economic damages pursuant to government and commercial litigation disputes. His more than 16 years of management consulting experience includes engagements in private equity and early-stage ventures, professional services, software, technology, manufacturing, financial services, life sciences, and healthcare.
Mr. Scally has been qualified as an expert witness and has testified on matters involving business enterprise valuation, trade secret, trademark, patent, partnership, employment, personal injury, and contract disputes. He formerly worked in the Forensic Services Advisory practice of a “Big 4” accounting firm in Boston.
Mr. Scally is co-author of the Patent Infringement Damages chapter of the Litigation Services Handbook: The Role of the Financial Expert, Sixth Edition, published by John Wiley & Sons, Inc. earlier this year. A chartered financial analyst, he is a member of the CFA Institute, the Boston Security Analysts Society, Boston Patent Law Association, Boston Bar Association, and American Bar Association. He holds a Master of Business Administration from Boston College and a Bachelor of Science in Control Systems Engineering from the United States Naval Academy.
