Business Development Director

Melville, NY

Job Description

The Business Development Director is responsible for achieving revenue goals for the Long Island office by building a market presence, and identifying and helping pursue new business opportunities. The selected individual will work under the direction of the Partner in Charge of the local office and in collaboration with the Senior Business Development Director. The successful candidate will ensure business development objectives are aligned with the local office strategic business development initiatives

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop local business development strategy and goals
  • Generates opportunities with targeted prospects through lead generation activities including networking, cold calling, telemarketing campaigns, direct mail and e-mail campaigns, web seminars/seminars, and business community outreach.
  • Build and maintain sales pipeline
  • Collaborate with business line executives to ensure sales success
  • Maintain weekly activity and pipeline report
  • Use CRM to track prospects

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing or other related field required
  • Seven (7) or more years of business development and/or marketing experience in professional services
  • Knowledge in the development, management and execution of sales and marketing processes including marketing and BD planning, lead generation, pipeline management, account planning, and sales strategy and development
  • Proven track record of developing business relationships with C-level executives (CEOs, CFOs, Board of directors, etc)
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and Client Relationship Management (CRM) systems
