|Marcum MicroCap Conference to Benefit Harlem Children's Zone|
Marcum LLP has selected Harlem Children’s Zone as the charity beneficiary of the 2015 Marcum MicroCap Conference, taking place May 27-28 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in New York City. The annual Marcum MicroCap Conference provides a forum for publicly traded companies under $500 million in market capitalization to network with the investment community.
Harlem Children’s Zone, Inc., is a nationally renowned nonprofit that offers a unique cradle-through-college network of programs to help more than 12,000 kids break the cycle of generational poverty through education.
“I want to thank Marcum for recognizing the importance of helping all children get a real shot at the American dream and for helping us to make that possible for thousands of children in Harlem,” said Anne Williams-Isom, Chief Executive Officer. “We believe that to change the odds for low-income children, we have to address the entire range of challenges they face over the long haul, as well as work to strengthen their families and the community around them. Our ‘pipeline to success’ provides best-practice programs for each stage of a child’s development from pre-K through college. As these college graduates return to Harlem, we believe that the community will be transformed to one where college graduation and success is the norm, not the exception.”
“Harlem Children’s Zone is celebrated for their successful approach to community uplifting, and we are honored to support their work at this year’s Marcum MicroCap Conference,” said David C. Bukzin, Partner-in-Charge of Marcum’s SEC Services Practice group and producer of the event.
