Raymond Ghelardi is a Partner in Marcum's Advisory Services Group in the New York City office. An astute professional with more than 20 years of experience in the valuation and appraisal industry, he joined the Firm from Trenwith Valuation, LLC (the valuation group of BDO Seidman) where he served as Managing Director. Mr. Ghelardi’s valuation experience includes valuations of operating businesses comprising capital stock, fixed assets and intangibles in connection with sales, acquisitions, allocation of purchase price and dispositions. He additionally has extensive experience in real estate feasibility and financial analysis. He has testified as an expert witness before numerous federal and state courts, including the Supreme Court of the State of New York.
Mr. Ghelardi’s professional background includes having served as a Senior Vice President with a New Jersey-based valuation and advisory services firm where he initiated and developed a corporate valuation division. He was Chairman of Valuation Counselors Group, the second largest independent valuation firm in the country at the time, and negotiated its sale to CBIZ. Additionally, working with a Fortune 500 company, he participated in feasibility studies for a $3.5 billion industrial facility and directed a permit evaluation for a NASA facility at Cape Canaveral. He also served as a Project Manager with a leading development consulting firm, participating in site selection studies and analysis for a $1.2 billion industrial facility in Tennessee, elements of New York City's Battery Park City development, and other large industrial plants. He has served on the staff of the Massachusetts Secretary of Environmental Affairs where he administered a statewide environmental review program aimed at industrial development.
