Andrew Ebneter is a partner in Marcum's New York City office and is a member of its State and Local Tax Practice Group. Mr. Ebneter joined the Firm in 2016 and has over 15 years of tax experience, primarily serving corporate and pass through entities with state income tax and indirect tax matters. In providing service to closely held entities, Mr. Ebneter has offered guidance pertaining to personal income tax matters, including issues of state residency and the effects of the Unites States Supreme Court's Wynne decision.
Throughout his career, Mr. Ebneter has provided sound tax advice to clients across a panorama of industries, including pharmaceutical, manufacturing, and entertainment. A sample of his service offerings include nexus studies, state income tax revenue sourcing studies, sales tax revenue taxability studies, state income/franchise tax compliance and provision review, tax audit defense, and credit and incentive projects. Additionally, Mr. Ebneter has experience spanning a decade with respect to transactional matters, including tax due diligence and restructuring with a focus on state tax efficiencies.
