Don Singleton is a partner in the Assurance Services division and a member of Marcum's national Construction Industry Practice group. He came to Marcum in 2015 via the Firm's merger with DGLF CPAs & Business Advisors, a full-service accounting firm specializing in construction and real estate, with offices in Nashville, Tennessee, and Orlando, Florida.
A specialist in construction accounting, Mr. Singleton's 40 years of experience includes serving as a CFO in the light manufacturing /construction industry and several years as a sole practitioner. His contractor-focused services include financial audits, business valuations, litigation support, risk analysis / internal controls, job cost analysis and general management consultation. He has also worked with clients in the real estate management, retail construction equipment, wholesale distribution and large not-for-profit sectors. Mr. Singleton has provided numerous services to SEC companies, including construction business reviews, evaluations and internal audits.
He is licensed both as a CPA and a lawyer in Tennessee. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Institute of Management Accountants, and the Tennessee and Nashville Bar Associations. He is also accredited by the AICPA in business valuations and financial forensics.
A graduate of the University of Tennessee at Martin, Mr. Singleton has a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration with a major in accounting. He graduated from the Nashville School of Law as an inductee into the Cooper's Inn Honor Society and as the recipient of the Founders' Award.
