About Douglas

Douglas Wildstein is the Partner-in-Charge of the Firm’s Long Island Assurance department. His expertise includes business consulting and tax planning for closely-held companies, and mergers and acquisitions, auditing and other assurance services for privately-held and publicly-traded companies.

Douglas uses his mergers and acquisitions expertise to identify critical issues unique to acquisitions. His valuable counsel enables clients to make prudent decisions when accepting or rejecting deals. His extensive experience in this area also includes the successful negotiation and reduction of purchase prices paid for companies.

Under his direction, Douglas’ clients experience increased efficiencies with their time and money expenditures. His skill in identifying and implementing effective and new internal controls and procedures for his clients has resulted in an increased efficiency in running their accounting systems.

Douglas joined the Firm in 1993 and was promoted to Partner in 2000. He actively participates in several internal committees sharing his knowledge and providing guidance. He serves as a mentor for a number of staff professionals through the Career Development Committee; he plays an integral role with hiring new talent through the Recruiting Committee; and he advises the Firm’s operations relating to strategic planning, practice development and client service as a member of the Management Committee.

Douglas’ earlier experience includes working at a “Big 4” accounting and consulting firm, as well as, a small, local firm.
