About Kimberly

Kimberly Robertson is a partner in the Assurance Services Division in the Firm’s Washington, DC office. She came to Marcum via the Firm’s merger with Raffa, P.C., one of the nation’s preeminent public accounting and business consulting firms, specializing in nonprofits.

Kimberly has more than 30 years of experience serving the nonprofit and government industries, and brings a deep bench of experience as auditor and consultant to public charities, foundations, advocacy groups, trade associations, healthcare organizations, international organizations, private and charter schools and school systems, colleges and universities and state and local government. Having served as a hospital Trustee for over 10 years, she also has extensive experience with hospitals, long-term care facilities and urgent care and outpatient centers.

Kimberly is an instructor of accounting, auditing and procedures required under the Office of Management and Budget Circulars A-133, A-110 A-122, the Single Audit Act and the Uniform Grant Guidance. In addition, she has assisted nonprofit and government entities in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures and is particularly skilled in performing organizational assessments, facilitating strategic planning sessions, and assisting clients in indirect cost rate proposals and internal control assessments. She has delivered seminars for the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), National Education Association, National Association of Health Service Executives, National Grants Management Association as well as other nonprofit organizations, and has and has contributed articles for ASAE’s magazine and serves on the editorial board for The Nonprofit Audit Guide.
