About Philip

Philip Weiner is a partner in the Firm’s Assurance Services division and a member of its Capital Markets Practice Group. As an accomplished writer, he contributes to the Firm’s Capital Markets newsletter. He has more than 30 years of accounting and auditing experience with an extensive background in SEC reporting requirements and compliance. He works closely with client engagement teams to provide strategic assistance and quality control reviews for publicly-traded companies who require a high caliber of service and personal attention. He helps clients in various industries including manufacturing, distribution, real estate and Broker/Dealers.

Philip’s specialized expertise and in-depth knowledge with auditing and reporting procedures enables him to successfully anticipate complex issues and offer solutions to correct situations before they become problems. He stays abreast of changes in accounting rules, SEC regulations and tax matters to ensure clients are receiving expert guidance and meeting timely, financial filing deadlines.

Philip develops curriculum for the Firm’s training program and shares his expertise internally as an in-house instructor on topics regarding the SEC, auditing and accounting. As an accomplished writer, he contributes to the Firm’s newsletter, SEC Insights.

Prior to joining the Firm in 2003, Philip spent five years with a local accounting practice. Earlier in his career he was with a large regional firm.
