About Thomas

As a partner in the Firm’s Marital Dissolution and Forensics Groups, Thomas Keane provides economic, financial, and accounting services to attorneys involved in various litigation matters. He focuses on business valuations and matrimonial litigation, and has supervisory responsibility for all senior and staff accountants. He also provides services in forensic accounting, investigations, and operational reviews.

Thomas’ previous experience includes 12 years at Big Four accounting firms. He regularly conducted investigations of fraudulent activity and employee wrongdoing, identifying control weaknesses that created problems, and provided recommendations and guidelines to reduce the probability of repeat occurrences.

Prior to joining Marcum, he was an assistant controller and director for a public cancer diagnostic and research company in New York City where he assisted with a review that led to the identification of multiple instances of fraud conducted by upper level management and led directly to the company’s bankruptcy filing.
