About Qasim

Qasim Zaidi is an Assurance Services partner in Marcum’s Philadelphia office. He joined Marcum in 2019 with more than 20 years of experience serving public and non-public entities in a broad range of industries, including consumer products, manufacturing, pharmaceutical and life sciences, and healthcare.

Qasim’s expertise includes revenue recognition, leasing, carve-out audits, and purchase accounting. He also has significant transactions experience in business combinations, initial public offerings, debt offerings, convertible debt, warrants, goodwill impairment considerations, revenue recognition, leasing and sale-leasebacks, contingencies, income taxes, and stock-based compensation, among others.

He has served numerous clients with a global footprint and has coordinated complex global public and private company audits. He also has experience in IFRS, U.S. GAAP, and SEC reporting and has performed quality reviews related to a host of accounting topics such as stock-based compensation, convertible debt, warrants, foreign currency translation, and others.

Prior to joining Marcum, Qasim spent most of his career at a Big Four accounting firm, most recently as a managing director. He was previously a senior director with a regional firm.
