Alan Barbee is partner-in-charge of Marcum’s Florida Advisory Services division‚ specializing in bankruptcy‚ insolvency and receivership. Since beginning his career in 1991‚ Mr. Barbee has rendered numerous expert opinions on various issues regarding solvency‚ insolvency‚ valuation‚ damages‚ collateral diminution and other general bankruptcy matters. He has been retained in numerous cases by debtors and bankruptcy trustees in the Southern District of Florida‚ the Southern District of New York and the District of Puerto Rico. Additionally‚ Mr. Barbee has represented secured creditors‚ creditor committees and court appointed receivers‚ and he serves as a receiver‚ assignee for the benefit of creditors and disbursing agents.

Mr. Barbee’s experience includes economic damages‚ valuation‚ evaluation of internal control structures‚ viability of business operations‚ forecasting and budgeting during Chapter 11 proceedings‚ forensic review and reconstruction of books and records‚ concealed asset identification and asset tracing‚ and preferential and insider payment analyses. Mr. Barbee has assisted receivers and trustees in several investment fraud cases.
