Arthur Haut

Arthur N. Haut is a Director in the Firm’s New Haven‚ Connecticut office and a member of its Advisory Services group.

Mr. Haut performs valuations of minority and controlling interests for purposes of estate and financial planning‚ purchase or sale of a business and ESOPs. He has provided litigation support as an expert witness on damages in breach of contract suits‚ minority stockholder disputes and marital assets in matrimonial cases‚ as well as the valuation of businesses.

Mr. Haut has experience assisting in the structuring‚ planning and implementation of business combinations. He participated as a consultant and partner in a highly leveraged buyout transaction taking an American Stock Exchange company private.

A recognized industry expert‚ Mr. Haut has assisted legal counsel before and during trials by planning and strategizing how to examine witnesses and present evidence. He has also provided testimony in the Connecticut District Courts.

Mr. Haut served on the faculty of Yale University for 30 years as an Adjunct Professor in the Yale School of Organization and Management. He was a Lecturer for the Yale Law School and its undergraduate program teaching courses in financial reporting‚ managerial accounting‚ valuation and income taxes. Mr. Haut was a Partner with a “Big Four” accounting firm and has provided various audit‚ tax and business valuation services throughout his career.
