James Aspromonti CPA*

James Aspromonti is a Partner in the Firm's Assurance Services group and a member of its SEC practice group. He is responsible for directing the accounting and auditing activities for a number of professionals. Mr. Aspromonti has developed a specific expertise providing business consulting and tax planning services for private, closely-held businesses with multi-state and international locations. He also works with distressed companies, nationally and internationally, in turn-around situations, complex bankruptcy matters and emerging from bankruptcy issues.

Mr. Aspromonti’s extensive experience includes working with publicly-traded and closely-held companies through the successful completion of initial public offerings including registration statements for SPACs (Specified Purpose Acquisition Companies) and reverse mergers. In addition‚ Mr. Aspromonti has an in-depth background helping companies improve their accounting efficiencies. He is often engaged by clients to review internal controls and procedures and recommend changes to their accounting systems.

Mr. Aspromonti has more than 19 years experience. He joined the Firm in 1992 and was promoted to Partner in 2004. He leads the Firm’s Career Development Committee and serves as a mentor for a number of the Firm’s managers. Earlier in his career‚ Mr. Aspromonti worked at a regional accounting and consulting firm‚ where he managed the auditing and accounting matters for one of the country’s largest maritime companies.
