Lawrence A. Litt is a Partner in the Tax Department of the Firm’s New York City office. He has more than 16 years of experience in providing tax advisory, tax structuring, and tax compliance services to a wide array of clients across many industries, including consumer products, manufacturing, entertainment, private equity, energy, construction, transportation, and pharmaceutical.
Mr. Litt specializes in advising on tax matters associated with mergers and acquisitions, as well as in providing tax accounting, tax compliance, tax controversy, and domestic and international tax consulting services. He has had extensive experience directing the review of the annual and quarterly tax provision calculations for Fortune 500 US multinational corporations, other publicly traded US multinational corporations, and US subsidiaries of foreign multinational corporations. He has likewise had extensive experience leading cross-functional tax due diligence teams and delivering tax advisory and structuring services for numerous merger and acquisition transactions involving both strategic and private equity acquirers with a wide range of targets across many industries, including Fortune 500 US multinational corporations, US subsidiaries of foreign multinational corporations, closely-held corporations, and S corporations.
Prior to joining the Firm in 2012, Mr. Litt worked at a “Big 4” accounting firm in both the Corporate Tax Practice and the Mergers and Acquisitions Tax Practice, as well as in the Exempt Organizations Tax Practice where he served as a Managing Director responsible for managing the financial, risk, and human resource aspects of the New York practice while overseeing all of the tax compliance and tax consulting engagements undertaken for the New York practice’s nonprofit clients.
