Maury Cartine CPA*, JD

Maury Cartine is the Partner-In-Charge of the Firm’s National Alternative Investment Industry Group Tax department and a member of its International Tax Services Practice group. He specializes in consulting hedge fund and investment advisors with complex tax and regulatory matters. Mr. Cartine advises clients beginning with the start-up phase and continuing throughout the life of a fund.

Mr. Cartine joined the Firm in 2007 bringing a wealth of experience and expertise. His background includes working at the Internal Revenue Service and opening his own private tax and commercial law practice. In addition, he spent 25 years at a leading accounting firm where he spearheaded its newly-created tax department. As the Principal-In-Charge of the worldwide tax practice and the firm’s Vice President, Mr. Cartine successfully led the operations during the acquisition of the firm’s fund administration business.

Throughout his career, Mr. Cartine has been very involved with his local government activities. Most notably, he served as the spokesperson for the municipalization of the public library and contributed to the development of his town’s first two playgrounds.
