Robert Smith CPA*

Robert H. Smith is a Director in the Firm’s Boston office and a member of its International Tax Services Practice group. He primarily focuses on providing services to middle-market businesses in the high technology, life sciences, manufacturing, and professional services industries and has worked extensively with companies providing services to the U.S. Government’s Department of Defense.

Working closely with both public and privately-held companies, Mr. Smith regularly consults on a variety of international, federal, state and local planning matters. He has addressed an array of tax issues involving federal tax restructuring, large multi-state corporations, consolidated groups, international and foreign tax reporting issues, net operating loss utilization, IRC 382 ownership analysis, ASC 740 tax provisions and FIN 48 analyses.

Mr. Smith joined the Firm in 2010. He has more than 20 years of public and private accounting experience including 9 years with a “Big 4” accounting firm.
