Sharyn Maggio is a Partner in the firm’s New Jersey offices. She has over 20 years of experience practicing in litigation support, forensic accounting, and business valuation with a special emphasis on matrimonial litigation. She is certified in both family and civil mediation and collaborative divorce and incorporates these areas into her practice. Ms. Maggio also has extensive experience in tax and financial planning.
A member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), she is the principal author of the practice aid A CPA's Guide to Family Law Services for the AICPA. She is a past member of the Forensic & Litigation Services Committee of the AICPA where she chaired the AICPA Family Law Task Force. Ms. Maggio was one of the founding members of the AICPA Certified in Financial Forensics Credential Committee. She is also a member of the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants, where she is a member of the Matrimonial Accounting Interest Group as well as the Litigation Services Interest Group. She is a past leader of the Matrimonial Accounting Interest Group. Currently, Ms. Maggio is the chair of the AICPA/AAML National Advanced Conference on Divorce.
Ms. Maggio has authored and instructed the Matrimonial Litigation Services and the Advanced Matrimonial Litigation Services programs for the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts. She was one of the original developers of the Advanced Matrimonial program for NACVA. Ms. Maggio is a member of the Institute of Business Appraisers and the Association of Fraud Examiners. She is a frequent lecturer and instruct or to attorneys, mediators, Judges, and CPAs and is a published author on various topics of divorce, economic loss assessment, fraud and forensic accounting, tax and financial planning.
