Creating a National Footprint to Better Serve Our Clients

At Marcum LLP, we constantly strive to improve the way we work with and service our clients. Over the past year, three strategic merger transactions grew the Firm to more than 950 professionals, including over 120 partners. As a result, the Firm expanded its core accounting and advisory solutions, broadened its geographic reach and added nontraditional, value-added services such as recruiting, marketing and design and financial/regulatory compliance outsourcing solutions.

The May 2009 merger with Florida-based Rachlin LLP positioned the Firm to offer clients exceptional experience and knowledge throughout the East Coast. The transaction increased our practice areas to include bankruptcies and receiverships – adding new dimensions to the range of services we offer. It also presented us the opportunity to extend our services to the government, public and not-for-profit sectors.

With the September 2009 merger of Margolis & Company, the Firm added a highly respected practice with a long history of leadership in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Its strong niche areas in distributorships, real estate, not-for-profit, and medical practices complement the range of services we provide with even greater geographic coverage.

Most recently, the Firm acquired the New England practices of UHY Advisors and UHY LLP. Marcum now has offices in three of New England’s major business markets – Boston, Massachusetts and New Haven and Hartford, Connecticut. The three offices share a 30-year history in the New England market serving clients in the construction, high technology, financial and investment, healthcare, manufacturing, not-for-profit and higher education arenas.

Our enhanced service capabilities are a tremendous benefit for our clients. We are able to offer the resources and depth of talent of a large firm without sacrificing a high level of personal service. In addition, the Firm now has 15 locations in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Florida and Grand Cayman. Having a presence in these regions has helped the Firm meet the changing accounting, tax and consulting needs of our clients.
