Illinois' Medicaid Program Advanced Cloud Technology (IMPACT) Revalidation Updates

Illinois' Medicaid Program Advanced Cloud Technology (IMPACT) Revalidation Updates

Last summer the State of Illinois announced the launch of their new Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) known as Illinois’ Medicaid Program Advanced Cloud Technology (IMPACT). In order to transition to the new information system, billing agents, billing providers, and individuals rendering or servicing Medicaid individuals were required to revalidate their information in the new IMPACT system.

Providers who failed to revalidate their data by September 24, 2016, will be terminated from Medicaid on February 1, 2017. To re-enroll in the Medicaid program, terminated providers will be required to submit a new Medicaid provider enrollment in IMPACT. The date the new enrollment application is submitted will be the earliest date that the provider will be able to begin submitting claims and encounter data to the state. Providers who have an application in review status, will not be terminated. For additional information on the IMPACT integration, including contact information, you may visit the State’s website.
