Important Message for Fiscal Intermediary Standard System Direct Data Entry Users on the Recertification Process

If you have not yet recertified your access to FISS DDE, your user ID may be terminated.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) requires National Government Services, Inc. to conduct an annual recertification of all current Medicare online FISS DDE users for Part A providers. This process will recertify all user IDs assigned to your employees or third parties that you have authorized to access National Government Services systems on your behalf.

It is crucial that all current users of FISS DDE complete the recertification process as soon as possible. Failure to do so will cause your user ID to be terminated and you will no longer have access to FISS DDE. This can create a serious interruption in your Medicare cash flow. If your access to FISS DDE is terminated, you will have to reapply for reinstatement which can take some time for that process to occur.

To complete the recertification process, access the FISS DDE User ID Recertification Form at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/FISSRecert. This survey should only be filled out if you have not recertified your access to FISS DDE. Once you have provided the specific data and submit the survey you will be recertified for the year.

This survey is time-sensitive and should be completed as soon as possible. We will begin terminating FISS DDE user IDs on or after May 2, 2014. Share this information with applicable staff members. This survey will be available until May 1, 2014.

We will conduct three identical Webinars on this topic with the objective of making everyone aware of the importance of doing the recertification and completing the survey.

Repeat Webinars are available at 10:00-11:00 a.m. on the following dates:
