New York Unveils Final Cybersecurity Regulations
On March 1, 2017, requirements to significantly enhance cybersecurity programs will take effect.
The rules impact areas such as governance programs, accountability, incidence response and documentation, and serve to better protect customer information in the unfortunate event of a cyber-security attack on their Institution. Although these regulations currently apply to only New York Banks, insurance companies and other financial services companies, this could be an indication of what’s coming our way in Massachusetts.
