Said Marcum’s Raffa, “We often spend a lot of time doing what we call an ‘opportunity assessment.’ Now, they typically happen when change occurs that the nonprofit didn’t cause to happen. …What we look for, as a firm, is to say, ‘Let’s look at the opportunities that are there and let’s decide what we did well and how we can put the resources into that to move forward.’”
