About Jonathan

Jonathan Tomazic is a partner in the Firm’s Professional Practice Group and a member of the Capital Markets and Transaction Services groups. Jonathan has more than 24 years experience providing assurance and business advisory services to publicly-traded companies and closely-held businesses with specialties in business combinations, financial instruments, reverse mergers and SEC reporting.

As a member of the Firm’s Quality Control and Professional Standards department, Jonathan collaborates with others to develop the Firm’s professional standards and consults on various accounting and regulatory matters for clients and other professionals in the Firm. Jonathan also assist in developing curriculum for the Firm’s training program and shares his expertise internally as an in-house instructor on various accounting, auditing and SEC reporting topics.

Jonathan rejoined Marcum in 2010. During his earlier tenure with the Firm, he was an Audit Supervisor performing annual audits, quarterly reviews and other compliance and business advisory services. He authored several articles for the Firm’s newsletter, SEC Insights, served on various Firm technical policy and audit efficiency committees and conducted various internal training courses in support of the Firm’s professional development program.

Previously, Jonathan was a Senior Manager for a national accounting practice where he supervised client engagement teams and consulted internally on accounting issues as a member of the Quality Control department. He also conducted numerous in-house quality inspection reviews and training seminars on topics related to business and financial reporting, risk assessments, general auditing, and effectiveto business and financial reporting, risk assessments, general auditing, and effective and efficient auditing.
