About Anson
Anson Augustine is the Partner-in-Charge of Assurance Services in the New York City office, focusing his efforts within the Capital Markets Group. In his current role, Mr. Augustine oversees all day-to-day matters for the New York City Assurance Group. He works closely with publicly-traded and privately-held companies in numerous industries providing services related to SEC compliance, as well as mergers and acquisitions and complex accounting and reporting issues.
Mr. Augustine primarily works with mid-to small-cap companies involved with mergers and acquisitions and capital financing transactions. He also advises private companies going public on initial public offerings and the securities registration process.
In addition to working with clients, Mr. Augustine participates in several of the Firm’s internal efforts. As a member of Marcum University, he helps advance the careers of professional staff through mentoring, organizing training sessions and serving as the lead instructor for a variety of continuing professional education seminars. Mr. Augustine is also a member of the Firm’s Audit Efficiency Committee.
Mr. Augustine specializes in using the latest technology to maximize audit efficiency and effectiveness and to assist companies with resolving a wide range of technical and operational business issues. He serves as a bridge between staff and information technology to enhance systems affecting clients, as well as audit teams.
Mr. Augustine has more than 20 years of experience. He joined the Firm in 2003 after spending four years at a local public accounting firm located in Westchester County, New York. Mr. Augustine is active in his local community supporting various social services and community projects. He has served as a liaison between organizations and their municipalities and has been instrumental in securing private and public funding.
