David Shea is a director with the CFO-Led Services group in the Greenwich office within the Firm’s Financial Accounting & Advisory Services practice.

He has more than 25 years of financial experience advising clients in accelerating growth, strategic planning, completing transactions, and maximizing performance in a wide spectrum of business sectors, including Insurance, Commercial Real Estate, Investment Banking, Capital Markets, Biotech, Educational Services, Retail and Professional Services.

David’s areas of extensive knowledge include strategic business planning and execution, corporate finance, financial modeling & forecasting, deal evaluation, building finance organizations, investor relations, and executive coaching. In prior CFO roles he oversaw transactions valued in excess of $8B, including a NYSE primary and secondary offering, a preferred share offering, joint ventures, the sale of commercial real estate portfolios, and loan securitizations. He also had financial responsibility for a $15B workout portfolio of commercial real estate loans. He recently advised several lower mid-market businesses in shaping their funding efforts, including recasting their strategic plan and leadership of investor presentations, negotiations, and closing.

David joined Marcum in 2023 and was previously a principal of a firm that provided fractional CFO services to startups and small businesses.
