About Donald
Donald Keninitz is a partner in Marcum’s Assurance Services division. Based in the Firm’s Rockville, Maryland office, he has extensive experience in accounting, auditing, and consulting, with a focus on government contractors and technology companies.In 1981, Don passed the Uniform CPA Examination, finishing in the top 100 in the U.S. and receiving an Elijah Watt Sells Award for his outstanding performance on the exam.
Don’s leadership experience includes developing and managing the government contract accounting and consulting practice at a regional CPA firm where he was a partner for 10 years. He also spent 12 years as a partner in the government contracting and technology practice at a leading national CPA firm. He later served as chief financial officer (CFO) and chief operating officer (COO) for two privately held manufacturing companies and CFO for an international transportation services firm.
Most recently, he served as a principal at E. Cohen and Company, CPAs, an award-winning, nationally ranked CPA firm that merged into Marcum in 2022.
