About Keith
Keith Blitzer is a Tax Partner in the Firm’s National Alternative Investment Industry Group. He works closely with the principals of private equity funds, fund of funds and their general partnerships and management companies. Mr. Blitzer maintains an ever-present focus on meeting his clients’ and their businesses unique requirements by effectively utilizing a top-down planning strategy. His approach has helped numerous clients accomplish their business goals while minimizing their current and future Federal and State tax costs.
Mr. Blitzer has more than 25 years experience advising clients with the structuring of acquiring and selling businesses, restructuring businesses and other tax planning strategies. His knowledge of international tax compliance, withholding tax and transfer pricing issues has been applied to alternative investment businesses, portfolio companies and other businesses.
Mr. Blitzer joined the Firm in 1998. His background includes working with real estate entities, international shipping companies, closely-held partnerships, limited and general partnerships, limited liability companies and large corporations. Most notably, Mr. Blitzer provided advisory, tax compliance and structuring services for the North American operations of a global maritime container cargo company.
Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Blitzer worked in the tax departments of a large national accounting firm and midsize local accounting firms. He supports various philanthropic causes and serves as a consultant for a private foundation.
