About Pauline

Pauline Vesleno joined Marcum in 2022 to lead the expansion and elevation of the Firm’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) programs. Pauline views growth in DEI as a continuum and believes that, in an inclusive culture in any organization, DEI must be part of the fabric of the business. She believes in an incremental mindset when refining processes and guiding change management, and that every individual can make a meaningful contribution.

Pauline has a decade of experience growing robust DEI programs centered on globally focused initiatives, associate belonging, and wellness advocacy. By enriching Marcum’s program of DEI activities, she will support the Firm’s mission to enable all associates and partners to be successful in their careers.

Pauline oversees the Firm’s nine Associate Resource Groups (ARGs) for staff with shared interests, cultures, lifestyles and abilities, with the common goal of fostering awareness and mutual respect. Working closely with Human Resources, executive leadership, partners, and associates, she will help lead a transformative culture of inclusion at the Firm.

Previously, Pauline held leadership roles at two major international law firms, developing and instituting innovative DEI initiatives that helped shape worldwide programs for both. Her approach to DEI strategy adds measurable value to internal goals in recruiting, retention, development, and promotion, as well as to externally facing goals in marketing, business development, and client relationships.
