About Samer

Samer Mekhail is an assurance service director in the Firm’s Houston office. Mr. Mekhail has significant advisory experience and is highly skilled in auditing and accounting. Throughout his career, Mr. Mekhail has helped clients in both the private and public sectors achieve their goals while delivering an exceptional client experience. He has extensive expertise in the global arena — Mekhail worked in the Middle East region and was responsible for audit clients with large footprints in South America. His client portfolio included companies in manufacturing, renewable energy and recycling, and retail. He spent the last five years focused on the construction and real estate industries.

Mr. Mekhail helped several clients with SPAC readiness, multibillion-dollar acquisition and divestiture transactions, transitions to new software, applying new complex accounting standards, and implementing the COSO 2013 framework.

Prior to joining Marcum, Mr. Mekhail worked for a “Big Four” accounting firm.

Mr. Mekhail speaks Arabic and English.
