About Saran

Saran Johnson is co-chief human resources officer at Marcum LLP, a Top 20 national accounting and business advisory services firm. Saran works closely with the Firm’s executive leadership to establish workplace culture and human resources strategy to support the business and its service lines. Saran started her career as an HR professional in the public accounting industry more than 20 years ago and has more than 15 years of human resources management experience. She has extensive expertise in recruiting and retention, employee relations, organizational development, and strategic planning, as well as resource management.

Saran is a diversity, equity, and inclusion champion who focuses on identifying and analyzing organizational issues and developing programming and policy recommendations to advance DEI at the Firm.

Saran is a graduate of Hofstra University, where she earned her BA in Psychology, and Molloy College where she earned her MBA in Management. Saran is professionally certified in human resources management and regularly speaks on industry topics.
