Connecticut Technology Council Announces 2012 Marcum Tech Top 40 Winners

Hartford, CT, (BUSINESS WIRE) – The Connecticut Technology Council (CTC) and Marcum LLP have announced the 2012 Marcum Tech Top 40 list of the 40 fastest growing technology companies in Connecticut. Winners are grouped into six areas of technology: Software, IT Services, Life Sciences, Advanced Manufacturing, New Media/Internet/Telecom, and Energy/ Environmental Technologies. Winners are selected on the basis of revenue growth over the last four years. Companies considered for this recognition have at least $3Million in revenue, with some of the public companies this year approaching or exceeding $1Billion in revenue. CTC and Marcum LLP will honor the winning companies September 27, 2012 at the Oakdale Theater in Wallingford.

The 2012 winners are primarily privately held companies, but 10 public companies also made the list, including: Priceline.com, FuelCell Energy and Alexion Pharmaceuticals. Geographically, Hartford County is home to 13 winning companies this year followed by Fairfield County with 12 companies and New Haven County with 10 companies.
