Former Pennsylvania Governor Mark Schweiker to Keynote Marcum Innovator of the Year Awards
New York City, NY — Former Pennsylvania Governor Mark S. Schweiker will keynote the inaugural Marcum Innovator of the Year Awards on November 14. The awards honor the contribution of innovation to the Philadelphia area economy and the companies behind the ingenuity. The program is presented by Marcum LLP, a top national accounting and advisory firm, and Region’s Business magazine.
Mr. Schweiker served as the 44th Governor of Pennsylvania from 2001 to 2003. He is currently Senior Vice President (SVP) and Chief Relationship Officer (CRO) at Renmatix, a cellulosic sugar producer for global biochemical and biofuels markets.
Following his term as Governor, Mr. Schweiker served as president and CEO of the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, a business advocacy organization of nearly 5,000 member companies and organizations. He then joined the private sector, serving as president of PRWT Business Process Solutions and as a senior advisor for the Government & Public Affairs practice of the law firm Stradley Ronon.

The Marcum Innovator of the Year Awards honor innovation in four categories, including Healthcare, Business Management, Technology and Energy.
